[Full time] Game-play Programmer
Cloisters Interactive is looking for a Game-play Programmer to work on our upcoming project, slated to start Fall 2022. This is a full-time contract position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience with the C# language and Unity game engine.
Familiarity with standard 3D math concepts (matrices, quaternions, linear algebra).
Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
Design, implement, and maintain systems and tools to support gameplay (animation, locomotion, navigation, etc.).
EXTRAS:
Though not strictly required, candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas would be given more consideration:
Game design.
2+ years game programming experience is a plus. Game industry experience is not strictly required, but is strongly preferred.
Profiling and optimizing to remove bottlenecks.
Ability to create support tools and technology as needed for specific project requirements.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as part of a small yet agile engineering team.
Assist in bringing a new game project from prototype to release.
Communicate with non-engineers about the details of bugs, feature requests, and design concepts.
Design and develop new game-play features in cooperation with other team members.
A love of storytelling + indie games is a big plus!
